Umbrella Body

ANCEDRAM is an umbrella, under which Drama Ministries rally together for shelter, food in high in-sight into the calling of God in Evangelical Christian Drama.

Non-denominational

It is non-denominational but inter-denominational in operation. Membership is open to all the born again children of God who have Drama as their ministry and others who are associated with Christian Drama on film production like Christian film Markers, Cameramen, Film directors, etc.

Our Story

How it all began

The Mount Zion Faith Ministries International, a leading and foremost drama ministry in Nigeria released handbills for her 3rd Annual National Drama Ministries Leaders’ Conference tagged “Way of the Champions”. Excitement met the release of the handbills as it went from hand to hand. Expectations were high that God would meet needs and touch lives at the conference. The preceding year, the conference tagged: “Thou Art My Battle axe” witnessed diverse manifestation and rebirth of ministries.

All hands were on deck to make the 1996 edition a success. From Lagos to Kano, from Kwara to Rivers, the handbills poured around. The coasts were clear for what was to become another Milestone in drama ministry.

However, there was a strange inclusion in the handbill! The strange inclusion popped many eyes, raised countless questions and generated controversies. A section of the handbill says part of the agenda of the two-day programme would be the launching of a National Association of Drama Ministers nomenclature: Association of Nigerian Christian Drama and Film Artistes (ANCDFA). The proposed launch of ANCDFA not only raised dust, there were speculations from various quarters as to the true and genuine motive of the convener of the conference, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye. This was largely due to the fact that several ‘National’ associations of drama ministers had existed before then. This included: Evangelical Film and Dramatist Association of Nigeria (EFDAN), Gospel Dramatists Association of Nigeria (GODAN), National Association of Christian Drama Artistes (NACDA). These associations (including Kwara State Association of Drama Ministers) had been in existence before the proposed ANCDFA, thus, the heightened expectations from such quarters.

This category of membership is opened to individuals and/or organizations not directly involved in any Drama Ministry/Group but they are actively engaged in assisting Evangelical Christian Drama/Film productions.

Who is ANCEDRAM?

ANCEDRAM is an abbreviation for All Nigeria Evangelical Christian Drama Ministers. This is an association resolved to form a formidable and viable association to promote and articulate Christian Drama Evangelism both locally and internationally.

What are the categories of membership under ANCEDRAM?

Presently, ANCEDRAM has 5 categories of membership. These are Corporate, Individual, Special Individual, Associate and Honorary. You can select any of the category if you wish to register and become a member of ANCEDRAM

What is the procedure to join ANCEDRAM?
