ANCEDRAM MONDAY FASTING AND PRAYER / WEEK 26 / MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021

“CAN YOU PRAY FOR SOMEONE TODAY?

(GENESIS 18:22; 2THESSALONIANS 3:1)

He who knees before God in prayer grows tall before the world. However, you can’t be a good intercessor if your personal prayer life is wobbling.

We have perfect examples of intercessors in the Bible.

One of them is Abraham, the father of faith, who took up the challenge to intercede for Lot in Sodom [Gen 18:22-33]. Moses was another great intercessor, who put his own life on the line to plead for God’s mercy for the Israelites. So amazing, God of heaven recognises Moses and Samuel, the great prophets, as intercessors [Jer. 15:1]. Jesus Christ our Lord is another perfect example and an epitome of an intercessor who exhibited a selfless lifestyle [John 17] and who is still interceding for us up till now [Romans 8:34]

Prayer is a spiritual communion with God. It is an apostolic heritage through which satan is incapacitated. As much as prayer is a personal communication link with God, it is also a ministerial weapon of love among the brethren.

The efficacy of intercession cannot be over-emphasised from the church inception. They were united in praying for their brethren, most especially those in trials. No wonder Paul asked for the Thessalonian brethren ‘s prayer.

Brethren, this is a clarion call for prayer.

Let us touch heaven with our prayer; someone out there needs your prayer. Many are in trial, danger, challenges etc. The chronic sinners, lost and wandering in the wilderness of sin, need to be rescued. A fellow general who is at the verge of giving up or backsliding, missionaries on the field of which some of our brethren are included, need to supported in prayer. Our nation, Nigeria, is not left out of this matter; she must be delivered from all manner of evil and warmongering.

And last but not least is that we need to pray so that the word of God may have a free course through all the genuine ministers of God.

SHALL WE PRAY:

1. Let us appreciate God for His faithfulness all the way till this moment; appreciate God for everything.

2. Let us ask for the grace to intercede for others.

3. Let us pray for as many children of God, ministers of the Gospel, who are facing diverse trials, that God shall encourage them and see them through.

4. Let us pray for as many ministers who are growing weary or at the verge of backsliding that God shall renew their strength like the eagle and restore them.

5. Let us pray for the missionaries that God shall encourage, empower, and send help to them; He shall make them happy.

6. Let us pray for ministers of God in various operations, especially drama ministers, that the Lord shall give His word free course in us, and shall open heaven for a release of HIS mysteries.

7. Let us pray for as many children of God who are in the den of kidnappers, bandits or herdsmen, that the lion of the tribe of Judah shall appear in their camp to deliver the captives; and that the Lord shall expose and disgrace all the perpetrators of evil in our country Nigeria.

8. Shall we prophesy to every dry bone of Nigeria to receive life and live again.

9. Pray more as the Spirit of God leads you.

GOD BLESS YOU AS YOU JOIN US TO PRAY.

I VALUE YOU ALL.
